The role
We are seeking experienced and motivated Underground Mining Engineers and Senior Mining Engineers to join the team. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients on site and remotely with operations support and improvement
- Developing and reviewing daily, weekly and monthly mine plans using Deswik and Excel
- Creating and reviewing drill and blast designs using Deswik UDGB, including best-practice optimisation
- Identifying and implementing productivity and business improvement initiatives
- Providing technical support to mine operations teams, including inspections of underground workings
- Generating and reviewing production and compliance reports across daily, weekly and monthly horizons
What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience with Deswik CAD, UDGB and/or IS (essential)
- Minimum 2+ years underground mining experience
- Proficient in drill and blast design and optimisation
- Proficient in daily, weekly and monthly mine planning
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- An uncompromising commitment to safety
- Current manual driver’s licence
- First Class Mine Manager’s ticket (preferred, not essential)
- Full Australian working rights
